Business Administration

The Business Administration program utilizes an integrated approach to study the interrelationships among the different functional areas of business and examine how the effective orchestration of these different components of business operations can lead to organizational success. At the end of the program, students are expected to appreciate the economic, social, technological as well as legal environments within which all businesses must operate, and possess the basic business knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes to effectively lead an organization and achieve the desired results.

PROGRAMS OFFERED:

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA)

  • The BS Business Administration program of LCC prepares the students for a career in any organization, handling many diverse human capital requirements of the organization, financial management, staffing, career development, and marketing. The BSBA students in are trained with the general perspective view of business and organization management such as operations management, marketing management, financial and accounting management.  total quality management, information systems, e-commerce, and entrepreneurship.

OUTCOMES-BASED APPROACH

Graduates of LA CONCEPCION COLLEGE have the ability to:

  1. Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice;
  2. Effectively communicate orally and in writing using both English and Filipino;
  3. Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams;
  4. Act in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility;

Business Administration Division Outcomes

Within 3 to 5 years after graduation LA CONCEPCION COLLEGE’s Business Administration Division expects that the BS Business Administration graduates will:

  1. Impart essential knowledge, elements, tools, and skills necessary to become successful business professionals;
  2. Develop students’ ability to recognize, formulate and solve business issues and problems in the areas of management such as planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling; and
  3. Provide the students with a meaningful experience in research and development that are relevant to the accounting field.

Business Administration Common Program Outcomes:

Graduates of the Business and Accountancy programs equipped with relevant knowledge, skills, attitude, and values shall be able to:

  1. Describe basic functions of management such as planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling;
  2. Identify and describe the basic concepts that underlie each of the functional areas of business and employ these concepts in various business situations;
  3. Select proper decision-making tools to critically, analytically, and creatively solve problems and drive results;
  4. Express clearly and communicate effectively with stakeholders both in oral and written forms;
  5. Apply information and communication technology (ICT) skills as required by the business environment;
  6. Work effectively with other stakeholders and manage conflict in the workplace;
  7. Organize and lead groups to plan and implement business-related activities;
  8. Demonstrate corporate citizenship and social responsibility; and
  9. Exercise high personal moral and ethical standards.

Program Outcomes for BSBA:

Graduates of the BS Business Administration program equipped with relevant knowledge, skills, attitude, and values shall be able to:

  2. Prepare operational plans;
  3. Innovate business ideas based on the emerging industry;
