Please be informed that January 23, 2015 (Friday) was declared a SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY IN BULACAN by the President’s Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa Jr., by virtue of Proclamation No. 944 signed on January 8, 2015.
On 23 January 1899, the first Philippine Republic (also known as the Malolos Republic) was inaugurated at Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan. “It is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Bulacan, be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with proper ceremonies”, Executive Secretary Ochoa said in the proclamation.
