Division Open Competition in Journalism Winners

Selected  High School  LCCians participated in the first ever Division Open Competition in Journalism (DOC-J) on August 26-27, 2014 held at First City Providential College. The event is a joint project of Division Association of Secondary School Paper Advisers (DAPSA) and Division Association of Campus Journalists (DACJ), which aims to allow  campus journalists to compete in the contest categories in journalism.

Participants came from both public and private institutions, which is  estimated to be around 1,500 students.  From the many campus journalists, 3 from LCC were recognized in the following categories:

Ms. Ayssa Ardytte Agliday (9A – St. Scholastica ) 

7th Place Feature Writing in English

Ms. Jhonine Myca Tan (4A -St. Mary Immaculate) 

7th Place Pagsusulat ng Lathalain 

Ms. Eloisa Jean Hernandez  (4A – St. Mary Immaculate ) 

10th Place Copy-reading and Headlining  in Filipino

The following campus journalists are under the supervision of the following coaches: Ms. Shara May Jinky Zubiri, Ms. Rosalie Ibiel, Ms. Kathleen Cabuang, and Ms. Joy Poca.

2. With at least one (1) year working experience;

3. With excellent verbal and written communication skills.

College Freshmen Orientation A.Y. 2014-2015

Welcome freshmen to LCC family! Last Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 8:00AM  the freshmen welcome orientation was held at LCC quadrangle to welcome the new breed of proud LCCians. 

Program Heads of all the programs along with the roster of faculty members were introduced, as well as facilities, services, and college policies were discussed. Performances from LCC Dance Troupe graced the orientation.

The program was organized by the Guidance and Counseling Office.

The Board of Trustees award deserving working students full scholarship on their tuition fee for this semester.
